Universities and colleges direct
|
Universities and colleges produce a wide-range of information about their courses and will be only too happy to supply this information to you or answer any questions you may have.
Institutional websites and printed prospectuses are a good starting point - you can find contact details in our university finder section.

Undergraduate course databases
|
The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) website contains an undergraduate course database - allowing you to search by one or more subjects of interest or course code, with the ability to refine searches on regions, an institution and/or type of course. UCAS entry profiles can help you find out more about the contents of particular courses.
The UCAS Big Guide also includes a complete list of courses and entry requirements in print and CD-ROM format.
UKCourseFinder allows you to search for a course either by subject or university using data supplied by UCAS.

Postgraduate course databases
|
Those looking for a database of postgraduate opportunities should visit the Prospects.ac.uk site.
Opportunities are also advertised on university and college websites, in the specialist education press and at Jobs.ac.uk.

Combined (further education, undergraduate and postgraduate) course databases
|
Learndirect advice produce a combined course search tool (which includes further education, undergraduate and postgraduate courses) for the Directgov site.
Similar services are available through the Hotcourses and British Council Education UK websites.

Recognised UK degrees (recognised bodies, listed bodies and recognised awards)
|
In consulting the course databases listed on this page, you may also find the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) recognised UK degrees website, which provides information on those recognised institutions offering bona-fide UK degrees, useful.
