MOST POSTGRADUATE applications are made directly to the university or college offering the course - with a number of exceptions. These are listed below:
UCAS UKPASS |
| Some institutions now accept applications through the UCAS
UKPASS service. This acts in a similar way to the UCAS
undergraduate applications service, although at the time of writing
only a handful of institutions are recruiting in this way.
|
Graduate Teacher Training
Registry (GTTR) |
Applications for teacher training should be made through the Graduate
Teacher Training Registry (GTTR).
|
Conservatoires UK Admissions
Service (CUKAS) |
| The Conservatoires
UK Admissions Service (CUKAS) operates a separate application system
for undergraduate and postgraduate practice-based music courses at many
UK conservatoires. |
In addition, the Prospects.ac.uk website includes an apply online facility. This allows potential students to make applications for multiple postgraduate courses using one set of stored details.
Institutions will be able to advise as to how to apply for their courses. Requirements will differ from institution to institution so take time to find out exactly what is required.
You may be required to make an informal approach by letter or complete an application form. You may also be asked to supply a Curriculum Vitae.
More details on applying for a postgraduate course can be found in our dedicated postgraduate study pages.
