HERO - Business : for business leaders or employees, or those looking to interact with higher education or research organisations

welcome
HERO - Higher Education & Research Opportunities in the UK
HERO - all you need to know

WELCOME TO HERO.

The Higher Education & Research Opportunities in the UK (HERO) site acts as a gateway to the UK's higher education and research organisations.

Our member organisations include the UK's higher education funding bodies which puts us in a good position to explain how business can interact with both higher education and research organisations (or vice versa) in a variety of mutually advantageous ways - sharing ideas, resources and facilities.

As a business leader, or employee, or someone in business who works or interacts with higher education or research organisations (or vice versa), we reckon you'll find the pages in this section, Business, most useful but you can access the other five main sections (including in-depth profiles of all universities and colleges that offer higher education courses) from the buttons at the top of each page.

In this section's information pages, listed down the left-hand side of each page in this section, you'll find information on the opportunities, facilities and services HE and research organisations can offer businesses. You'll also discover how to develop your staff, recruit appropriate graduates, carry out effective research and get an idea of how higher education, research institutions and businesses can work together for the good of the local and wider economy.

Each page contains a concise topic summary of the relevant information and links to the key websites that contain further information, or allow you to do something useful related to the topic.

Each month we also publish a number of features, written by people up and down the UK on various issues that will be of interest to business leaders, employees or those who interact with research or higher education organisations. You can access these through the Business homepage.

Whatever your interest in business in the UK, and its interaction with higher education and research, we hope these pages prove useful.
